GitHub
Connecting GitHub lets StratoNext list the repositories a workspace can see, read-only. Today, the connection itself does not give an agent access to code. Instead, an agent can use the repository list to know what exists, then use its own credentials to fetch code when a task actually needs it.
What StratoNext can access
Section titled “What StratoNext can access”- Repository metadata: names, visibility, default branch, and similar details, read-only.
StratoNext never requests write access to your repositories, and it does not use webhooks. It cannot push commits, open pull requests, or change anything in GitHub on your behalf.
Connecting your account
Section titled “Connecting your account”- As a workspace admin, open your workspace settings and start a GitHub connection.
- You are sent to GitHub to install the StratoNext GitHub App, either into your personal account or an organization you manage.
- Choose whether to grant access to all repositories or select specific ones, then confirm the installation.
- GitHub redirects you back to StratoNext, and the connection is active immediately.
StratoNext checks that the GitHub account completing the installation actually has access to it, so a connection can only be completed by someone who is authorized on the GitHub side too.
Choosing repository access
Section titled “Choosing repository access”You control which repositories StratoNext can see from GitHub’s own installation settings, not from StratoNext. Open Settings > Applications > Installed GitHub Apps on GitHub at any time to add or remove repositories, or to switch between select repositories and all repositories.
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Uninstall the StratoNext GitHub App from your GitHub account or organization settings at any time. Access is revoked immediately, and StratoNext can no longer read any of your repositories.
